Why We Choose Slow & Steady

Why We Choose Slow & Steady

What's The Rush?

Fashion should celebrate creativity, not destruction.  That's why we have never worked on a fast production cycle.

Not because it is difficult, but because it changes the kind of decisions you make. When everything is moving quickly, the focus shifts to volume, timelines, and turnover. That often leads to excess, whether in materials, inventory, or labour.

We have chosen a slower pace, and we have kept it that way over time.

Our production is intentionally small in scale. We keep limited stock on hand and produce for retailers in measured quantities, rather than large runs. This reduces unsold inventory and avoids the need for storage, discounting, or unnecessary shipping.

It also allows us to stay closer to the work. Each piece moves through the workshop at a pace that leaves room for adjustment, consistency, and care.

For customers, this extends into our Made to Order offering.

Rather than producing large amounts of stock in advance and hoping it finds a place, we make pieces as they are requested. This reduces waste, but it also means each piece is made with a clear destination in mind. There is a wait, and that is part of the process.

We have always described our way of working as slow and steady.

Not as a statement, but as a reflection of how the work is done. It allows us to produce in a way that is consistent, considered, and sustainable over time.
